Gill McCaw

Gill joined RADE in January 2022. Her career to date has been a merging of both theatre and business. Her responsibilities have combined management, finance and marketing roles within large multinationals, a marketing agency, and as a creative theatre producer. 

Most recently, Gill was Executive Producer at Gúna Nua Theatre from 2018 – 2021.  

Gill’s early business career in strategic marketing included manager roles working for Sheraton Hotels’ Europe, Africa and Middle East management division and Hertz Europe, both based in London. She also worked as a marketing consultant with clients in the technology and travel sectors. Gill founded and managed a SME in the health and wellness sector for four years, also in London before returning to Dublin in 1999.

Aida joined RADE in January 2021 as a CE supervisor. She is in-charge of payroll, administration, and accounts.

Karen joined RADE in June 2021. Karen graduated with a BA in Social Care at Dublin Institute of Technology in 2015 and  has worked as a recreational and community engagement worker for individuals in crisis accommodation.

Drug & Alcohol Project Worker 

Ruaidhri McAuliffe
ruaidhri@rade.ie

Ruaidhri has more than 20 years’ experience working with people who use drugs beginning as a volunteer in Merchant’s Quay in 1993. He spent five years working in Ana Liffey’s low threshold services before becoming Coordinator of UISCE in 2005, a post he occupied until 2016. Ruaidhri was a member of the North Inner City Drugs Task Force throughout that time. He has also served on the boards of Chrysalis Community Drug Project and the Irish Penal Reform Trust.

Ruaidhri has an academic background in Sociology and Social Research and maintains a strong belief in social justice and human rights for people who use drugs.

Steve Ranney

Steve Ranney joined RADE April 2023.  He moved to Dublin from Madison, Wisconsin in July 2022.  Steve has worked for 30 years in community mental health, public health, and addiction services. 

Steve started out working in public health in prevention and education services focusing on harm reduction strategies to reduce the transmission of HIV and other STIs with members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBQTI) and people living with addiction.

Steve worked for 16 years at Yahara House, a strength-based recovery program for people living with mental illness and addiction. 

One of Steve’s roles was developing transitional and supportive employment with members including direct training and support throughout the employment experience.

Steve was a Community Case Manager at Vivent Health working with people living with HIV and partnering with them to access needed services and housing in support of their recovery.
